TechEd for youths tomorrow

 Prominent software giant, SAP India, is organising TechEd, a technological event offering information and training to the youngsters aged between 18 and 22 about the latest tech practices in the software industry, on November 26.

Archit Kalkunte, head of Marketing and Communication Division of SAP India, told Deccan Herald on Saturday that the youngsters will come to know about the developing areas such as cloud computing system, mobile computing, big data, analytics, in-memory computing and first hand information on social media. He said that the youngsters will be given an insight into the future requirement of the fast-changing software market.

“Besides offering a platform to the youngsters to showcase their innovative skills, we are also organising exciting infotainment,” said Kalkunte.

Sessions of talks

Besides sessions of talks by experts in the field, the participants will meet world chess champion and Grand Master Vishwanathan Anand, Cricketer Suresh Raina and iPad magician from Germany Simon Pierro. The entry fee is Rs 1,500.

The organisers are expecting participation of 5,000 students, while 4,300 students have already enrolled themselves for the event.

“Students from Pune,  Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, Chennai, Pondicherry and many other southern cities have enrolled themselves for the event.

What is more encouraging is that we have received entries from small towns like Sringeri, Hubli-Dharwad, Mangalore, Tumkur and Kolar,” said Kalkunte. The events will be held at four places, including Bangalore, across the world
