Government has failed to provide good governance, alleges Patil
Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council S R Patil has said that the BJP government is involved in series of corruption, favouritism and illegal activities and has failed to provide good governance to the people of the state.
Addressing media persons at Kadur on Wednesday, he said despite receiving grants from the Central government, the State government is blaming it on the Centre for the lack of development work in the State. It is ridiculous to hear the Chief Minister making such statements.
“The NDA government during its regime had granted Rs 30,000 crore to the State, while UPA government has released Rs 89,000 crore to the State in the last four years. Congress leaders will have to keep these statistics before the public to bring out the truth. Thousands of crores released by the Centre under MGNREGS has remained unutilised.Predicting the forth coming Assembly election results, he claimed that the Congress will come back to power in next assembly elections and the BJP will be dethroned. The infights in the BJP will be an advantage to the Congress.People of the State will also reject the JD(S) which has turned out to be a party ruled by a family," said Congress leader.
