JOIN USA mentally ill woman killed her two children and committed suicide in Sanjaynagar near Marathahalli on Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Ramalakshmi (28) and her daughter Haasini (4) and son Yashavanth (2).
Ramalakshmi poured kerosene on her children and set them ablaze. Later, she also set herself on fire and embraced her children. She was living with her husband Magendra and in-laws, Rathnappa and Rabemma. The incident occurred around 8.30 am when her husband and in-laws left for work. The family is from Andhra Pradesh.
According to the HAL police, after hearing their screams, the neighbours rushed to their help, but could not save them.
Rabemma and Rathnappa were working as construction labourers and staying in the house for the past five years. Magendra and Ramalakshmi were living in Andhra Pradesh with their children and had come to Bengaluru on Sunday to consult doctors at Nimhans for Ramalakshmi's mental
illness.
After a checkup, doctors at Nimhans prescribed some drugs and asked the couple to see them again on Monday, said the police.
