Mumbai, Dec 6, 2012, DHNS:

Senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar, who had resigned from the post of Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) following allegations of irregularities in state irrigation projects, will be reinducted into the state cabinet on Friday.

While political circles in Maharashtra on Thursday were abuzz with rumours of his possible comeback, with the state assembly's winter session on Tuesday, Raj Bhavan spokesperson U R Kashikar confirmed the news of Pawar’s swearing in late Thursday evening.

Talking to Deccan Herald, Kashikar said: “The swearing-in will be held early in the morning.”
NCP sources disclosed that Ajit Pawar, after being sworn-in, will be made DCM, the post that remained vacant after his resignation.”

Since early this year, Ajit Pawar- nephew of NCP chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar-has been facing criticism for being an accessory to irregularities in irrigation projects.
