JOIN US A second division assistant of the Treasury Department in the taluk on Thursday was found hanging at UPS room of the office, allegedly because of threat from his colleague.
Haridanam, 35, was found hanging from the fan at the office. In his death letter he has blamed that his colleague S N Venkatesh was responsible for taking the extreme step.
The incident has come to light when the district treasury department staff opened the door to give question papers of diploma examinations.
Background
S N venkatesh , a second division clerk at the district treasury department, was arrested with charges of corruption on November 23 and had come out on bail recently.
It is alleged that he was forcing Haridanam to give witness on his behalf. Haridanam, in his death letter has written that Venkatesh had misused his signature for some documents and was threatening him on this basis.
Hari is the resident of Kurupete. Venkatesh is at large and police are searching for him. A case has been registered at Gulpet police station.
