JOIN USShreyal K Telang once again proved his prowess in the Junior ranks after the youngster scored a thrilling win over Sunand Vasan in the boys’ final of the CVL Shastry Memorial State table tennis championship at the Indian Gymkhana here on Saturday.
Shreyal posted a hard-fought 7-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-9, 11-7 in the summit tie. Earlier, he had it easy against V P Charan in his semifinal encounter, winning 11-8, 11-9, 11-1, 13-11.
In the corresponding girls’ final, Spoorthy M V got the better of Raksha R 11-7, 12-10, 11-5, 11-8 to claim the crown.
