Italian tourist fair in City

Italy has seen a tremendous 94 per cent increase in the number of Indian tourists in the last five years, Marco Bruschini, Director General, Italian State Tourist Board, said here on Monday.

Speaking at an event organised by ENIT (Italian State Tourist Board), he said: “India is an important market for us. The number of Indian tourists, which was reported to be 1.97 lakh has jumped to 4.61 lakh as per the official statistics of the Italian National Institute for Statistics.”

ENIT has organised five-day exhibition in the City to showcase the rich culture and vibrancy of Italy.He said that Italy aims to increase the number of tourists by strengthening relations with travel and trade partners.
