JOIN USRobbers stabbed to death a security guard and looted Rs 26,000 cash from a pizzeria in Pai Layout on Saturday morning.
The victim, Samar Daimuri, (28), hailing from Assam, was employed at Ma Private Security Agency in the City. He was posted at the pizzeria for the last seven months.
The incident came to light when staff members arrived for work in the morning and found Daimuri lying in a pool of blood, with his throat slit.
According to police sources, workers were busy cleaning after the business hours and had returned home by 5 am. Daimuri’s body was discovered at 9.30 am. Police said that preliminary investigation indicated that a gang of at least three men had entered the outlet through the half-open shutters.
They killed Daimuri before ransacking the pizzeria. The manager told police that Rs 26,000 kept in the locker was missing.
