Harish slams double ton

Bangalore, Jan 22, 2013, DHNS:
An entire Cambridge Cricket Club put together couldn’t overhaul BS Harish Kumar’s individual total in the KSCA Group I, Division V tournament for the JB mallaradhya Trophy.

Ironically named, the Bowlers’ Cricket Club put the Cambridge attack to sword to amass 452/7 in 50 overs with Harish alone scoring a staggering 233 of them.

Chasing an improbable target, Cambridge managed Harish’s score -- 233 -- before being bundled out in 42.1 overs, crashing to a 219-run defeat.

In another match, Aditya Reddy slammed an unbeaten 136 and claimed three wickets for 36 runs to help Sparklers Cricket Club score a facile 27-run win.

Brief scores: Sparklers Cricket Club: 246/7 in 50 overs (Aditya Reddy 136 n.o., Varun Pandit 40; Mani Kumar 3-40) bt Modern Cricketers: 219 all out in 47.3 overs (Kishore 30, Umashankar 81; Rahul Gautam 3-21, Prathap 2-30, Dileep 2-52, Aditya Reddy 3-36).

Bowlers Cricket Club: 452/7 in 50 overs (Sashikanth 47, Harish Kumar BS 233, Siddesh 87; Rakesh 2-85) bt Cambridge Cricket Club: 233 all out in 42.1 overs (Darshan 37, Vaibhav Bhandari 65, Kirti 44, Charan 25; KP Sreekanth 2-22, Sharad Acharya 3-30, Sashikanth 3-20, S Nadeesh 2-40).
