Clube de Goa ease past Salgaocar

Sporting Clube de Goa scripted an invaluable 2-0 victory over Salgaocar Football Club in an I-League clash at the Duler Stadium on Monday.

Sporting Clube scored through Ogba Kalu (60th minute) and new signing Angel Berlanga (67th).
Meanwhile, a brace from Japanese recruit Sho Kamimura helped Shillong Lajong FC hold Air India in a tie at the JN Sports Complex in Shillong. The 27-year-old’s equaliser moments before the final whistle to earn the team a point as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Airmen took the lead in the 16th minute through Henry Ezeh. In the 37th minute, Sho brought Lajong back in the game as he scored off a volley. Air India regrouped and struck in the 64th minute through Prakash Thorat. However, Kamimura came to the rescue of Lajong. Lajong  now have 16 points whereas Air India have 15.

Pailan Arrows struck through substitute Tirthankar Sarkar (87th) to hold United Sikkim FC 1-1 in a match at Kalyani. Anwar Ali had given United Sikkim the lead in the 74th-minute.
