Measures will be taken to develop the historically famed Talakayalabetta, into a centre of religious and tourist attraction in Shidlaghatta taluk, said MLA V Muniyappa.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Samudaya Bhavan, built at a cost of Rs 1.31 crore at Talakayalabetta in the taluk recently. “The construction of the Samudaya Bhavan is like a dream come true, the foundation for which was laid when I was the Kolar district in-charge minister. After several years, the building has come alive,” he said.

“Honest efforts have been made to develop Talakayalabetta, which is popular both as a religious and tourist destination, both in the district, as well as the State. The Kalyana Mantapa, which has been constructed on the sprawling premises, is earning good revenue, which will further contribute towards the development of the temple.”

He said without the support of Union Minister K H Muniyappa, Members of the Parliament K Rehman and M V Rajashekharan, Members of the Council Naseer Ahmad, Y A Narayanswamy, Motamma, Govindraju, who have extended funds from their constituencies for the implementation of the various development projects at the religious destinations, the development of Talakayalubetta could not have been possible.
