Heavy rains incur loss in Balehonnur

More than half acre arecanut estate of Sheshadri Bhat and Ganesh Bhat of Ganapathy Katte in Aduvalli village have been damaged. The house Sheshadri Bhat have also been damaged.
In fact, arecanut harvest was ready for plucking. The heavy rains which lashed the region has dashed the hopes of the farmers who were expecting good crops this year. A huge tree which was uprooted and damaged the coffee plants in more than one and half acre land.

A tree fell on the poultry farm of a Shivananda Gowda. As a result, several chickens have been killed. Hundreds of trees have been uprooted in Neerkattu Bailu. Paddy fields were submerged in water as the streams overflowed at Kesuvinamane. Panchayat Secretary has visited the spot to assess the damage.
