Boy mowed down by school bus

A four-year-old boy was fatally run over by a school bus at Kodigehalli on Tuesday. The boy, Jagdev, was returning home from a shop along with his father when the accident occurred.
Lakshmi, the mother of the boy, said Jagdev had been to a shop with his father and while returning, he freed himself from the grip of his father and ran towards the road. Even as Ishwar Raj, the boy’s father, tried to stop Jagdev, a private school bus knocked him down.
Though he was rushed to M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospital immediately, the doctors declared him brought dead.
Hebbal traffic police have registered a case and arrested Nagaraju, the driver of the bus.
