The police have already recovered a huge cache of arms including one AK-56 rifle along with one magazine and 50 alive cartridges, one .30 bore Pistol along with one magazine and 20 alive cartridges and five hand grenades from Narain Singh Chaura and an FIR was registered against him on February 27 in Mohali district.

They had also nabbed absconding militant Narain Singh Chaura in Jalalabad village of the district on February 26.

Chaura was also allegedly involved in the 2004 Burail Jail break case which led to the escape of Jagtar Singh Tara, Hawara and Paramjit Singh Bheroa, the trio involved in the assassination of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh in a bomb blast.
