Married woman kidnapped and gangraped in Madhya Pradesh

Dhar (MP), March 18, 2013 (PTI) 21:36 IST
A married woman was allegedly gangraped by two men after she was kidnapped from a secluded place in Pithampur industrial town, about 40 km away from here, when she went to attend nature's call.

The incident took place on March 13, when three unidentified men allegedly kidnapped the 28-year-old woman from near a township in Pithampur town in a vehicle and took her to the nearby forests, where two of them gangraped her, the police said today.

After that, they dumped her and she somehow managed to reach a nearby village and inform her husband, who took her away from the village and reported the matter yesterday at the Pithampur police station.

A case of rape was registered against the two gangrapists, besides a case of kidnapping against the third person.

Efforts are on to trace the accused, Pithampur police station in-charge G P Dube said.
