VHP members attacked on IP varsity campus

A Vishwa Hindu Parishad delegation led by its state vice president Deepak Kumar was allegedly attacked at Guru Govind Singh IP University secretariat by some people, who are yet to be identified.

The state head of VHP women wing Simmy Ahuja was injured. The delegation had gone to meet vice chancellor of the university against deletion of people from the Hindu community from the column of ‘religion’ mentioned in the admission form being filed online for CET-2013, said VHP media coordinator Vinod Bansal.

He demanded immediate arrest of the attackers and action against the VC.

“Our 11-member delegation lead by Deepak Kumar reached the university to meet the VC at 11.30 am. They were demanding immediate correction in the form,” said Bansal.
