JOIN USThe High Court on Thursday ordered notice to State government in connection with an appeal by former additional commissioner of Police T Suneel Kumar challenging the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) order allowing the government’s decision to transfer him to Anti Naxal Force.
Hearing a petition, the Division Bench comprising Justice N Kumar and Justice B Manohar ordered issue of notice to the State government.
Govt contention
In his petition, Suneel Kumar rubbished the State government’s contention that it is not aware of the amendments to the law, according to which the transfers should be done through the Police Establishment Board.
Suneel Kumar has sought the quashing of the order of his transfer, stating that it did not emanate from the Police Establishment Board as per the norms.
