Kyocera plans Rs 100-cr R&D centre

Documentation solutions provider Kyocera Documents India is planning to set up a research and development (R&D) facility in India with an investment of about Rs 100 crore in the next 3 years.

“Kyocera is planning to set up a software R&D centre in India, probably in Gurgaon or Bangalore. We are working out the budget, but, it could be up to Rs 100 crore,” Kyocera Documents India Managing Director K Swetharanyan told PTI.

At present, it is in discussions stage and planning to work it out in the next 3 years. The software development facility in India will be in addition to Japan and California-based centres and will be for the entire Kyocera Document Solutions Group, he added.
