Infosys declares 540 percent final dividend

Bangalore, April 12, 2013, (IANS) :

Infosys Ltd has declared a final dividend of Rs.27 per share of Rs.5 on par value, which translates into a whopping 540 percent payout for fiscal 2013-14, as per the Indian account standard.

In a regulatory filing Friday, the IT bellwether said its board of directors recommended a final dividend of Rs.27 per share for fiscal 2013.

The global software major declared an interim dividend of Rs.15 per share in October 2012 for the first half (April-September) of last fiscal or 300 percent payout.

With an additional Rs.12 per share or 240 percent for the second half of the fiscal under review, the total dividend payout will be Rs.27 or 540 percent.

In contrast, the company gave a final dividend of Rs.22 per share for the previous fiscal (2011-12) or 440 percent and a special dividend of Rs.10 per share (200 percent) for its business process outsourcing (back office operations) completing 10 years.
