The health officers of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike have imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 on Medi CT Scan and Diagnostics near Malleswaram Grounds on Margosa Road for not disposing of biomedical waste scientifically.
The diagnostic centre allegedly disposed of waste like ordinary garbage. Palike officials said pourakarmikas as well as the local residents had complained about the unscientific disposal of biomedical waste.
