Ramdas is among the poor candidates

Medical Education Minister S A Ramdas is among the poorest candidates to file nominations for the upcoming Assembly elections. According to the affidavit filed by Ramdas he has Rs one lakh cash in hand.

The BJP leader who is contesting from Krishnaraja also has four bank accounts, with a combined total of Rs 15.65 lakh, and two insurance bonds worth a total of Rs 14.35 lakhs.
The only vehicle owned by the Minister, according to the affidavit is a 1992 model Hero Honda motorcycle, worth Rs 14,000.

Ramdas has 200 grams of gold jewellery, worth Rs 5.62 lakhs. Four kg of silver articles are also among his belongings, worth Rs 1.8 lakh. The total worth of all his movable assets is Rs 38.57 lakh.

Also, Ramdas, has no land in Mysore district. However, he has inherited one fifth of 3.5 acre land at Kasaba Hobli, Malavalli taluk of Mandya district. The land is approximated to be worth Rs 3.20 lakh.

Ramdas neither has any residential apartments, nor any bank loans.

Ramdas filed his nominations on Saturday, while he submitted his affidavit only on Wednesday.
