Tamil actress Tamannaah is raring to go. Himmatwala, in fact, had brought out the best in her. Although Himmatwala is not Tamannaah’s debut film in Hindi, she prefers to call it one.

“I was too young, when I first acted in a Hindi film and I don’t even remember half the things that happened back then. I consider Himmatwala as my debut in Bollywood and I am extremely proud of my character in it,” she says.

It is a remake of the 80s’ film of the same name. “The costumes, mannerisms and body language is similar to that of late 80s but a lot of it has been changed to suit the present times,” she reasons.

Tamannaah recalls that one of the best things about being part of that project was that it began and ended on schedule. “The producer promised a release date and he kept his word. That’s what I appreciate the most,” she adds.

Tamannaah is all praises for her co-star, Ajay Devgan, who she feels is a rare combination of a superstar and a good human being. “It was a pleasure to have him around. Despite, being in the film industry for more than two decades, he was always willing to help and he was always there when you needed him,” she reasons.

Tamannaah says that a proud moment for the cast of Himmatwala was when Ajay successfully fought with the tiger. “Although the tiger was trained, it is an animal and a dangerous one, so we were all very nervous when he fought hand to hand with the tiger. But Ajay proved his acting skills yet again,” she shares. The actress has been getting a lot of offers after Himmatwala but she wishes to strike a balance between her Telugu, Tamil and Hindi projects.

“The advantage, is that I can speak Tamil, Telugu and Hindi fluently and I am comfortable working in all the three languages,” she notes.

While things are going great guns for this young actress, she hopes to choose characters and films, which families can watch without any embarrassment. “While I don’t want to miss an opportunity to exploit the actor in me, I am keen to work on films that can be watched by the whole family,” she signs off.
