"One person was killed and four others were hospitalised with serious injuries after a bomb went off inside their house," an officer of Rishra police station said.

The blast occurred Sunday morning in Rishra, some 23 km from Kolkata. The family which returned from Gaya in Bihar in the morning, opened a bag after which the bomb kept inside it, exploded.

"The bomb squad is inspecting the site and we are probing the matter," added the officer.
Family members have alleged that the bag was exchanged in the train during their way back from Gaya in Bihar.
