CLINCK to keep tab on internet users

Bangalore: Oct 29, DHNS:

An interactive session of the police and cyber cafe owners was held, to make them aware of the misuse of cyber space for criminal activities and difficulties in reporting them, on Thursday.

Cyber cafes account for 47 per cent of access point for internet usage in India and have thus emerged as hotspots of cyber crimes.

The present practice of maintaining physical registers by cyber cafes has many flaws, besides being inefficient, retrieval of information is not easy.

With a view to help cyber cafe owners maintain user records for longer duration and manage office accounting etc, a software named CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager has been launched by Ideacts Innovations, an internet media company. The software makes storage of user records an easy affair by easily storing all relevant user data in digital form.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar said that the software would help the cafe owners, as well as the police in checking cyber crimes. He urged them to insist on identity proof of users. Software is available free of cost across the country. Call: 9892343828 for assistance.
