‘Love Guru’ now crosses borders
Megha Shenoy

The cast and crew of Love Guru are on top of the world and why not?

Tharun Chandra, Yajna Shetty and Radhika Pandit in Love Guru. After all, their film will be now dubbed into Malayalam very soon. The news broke out during the 50th day celebrations of the movie and the Malayalam version is all set to be released in the coming month.

Confirming the news to Metrolife, Prashanthraj, the director of the movie says, “During the 50-day celebrations, some big distributors from Kerala had come to meet us to buy the rights to dub the movie. This will be the first time a Kannada movie will be dubbed into Malayalam and we are so happy that instead of re-making the movie, they have decided to dub it.”

This is not all, while most of the songs have been changed in the dubbed version, it is said that the distributors have decided to keep one promotional song in Kannada itself.

“This was the cherry on the cake. I have also come to hear that the song is already a superhit on Malayalam radio channels,” says the proud director. Currently Prashanthraj is in Chennai where talks are going on to either dub or re-make the movie in Tamil. “Nothing is finalised in Chennai but it will be really good if the movie is dubbed in Tamil as well,” he adds. It is also being said that the delay is because Prashanth himself has been approached to direct the re-make. “Yes, I have been approached but for now I would like to stick to directing only Kannada movies,” he confirms.
