Girl scores over epilepsy

Shreshtha Singhal, an epilepsy patient, scored 78.4 per cent in the Commerce stream in the class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education exam this year.

Shreshtha, a student of Apeejay School in Noida, took someone’s help for writing her paper in the exams. .

“Honestly speaking, there was no specific preparation for the exams. On an average, I used to study for three to four hours a day. When exams drew close, I increased my study time to six-seven hours a day,” says a jubilant Singhal.

“My aim is to become a teacher or to be a librarian,” says Shreshtha.

 “This is a pleasant surprise from Shreshtha. We never had this kind of expectation from her. We are really happy to see her perform so well in the class 12 exam,” her mother Preeti Singhal said.
