MLA distributes letters to beneficiaries in Madhugiri

She was speaking at the Janaspandana programme organised at Honnapura village in Madhugiri taluk on Saturday.

Public should be provided information about the programmes of the government  and should take measure to ensure that the project reach the eligible beneficiaries directly she suggested and directed the taluk level officers to check that the works are not delayed.

Alleging that the government is delaying the release of the payment under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, she said that she would hold a discussion with the officials concerned.

Dissatisfaction
Taluk Panchayat President V J Hanumantappa, expressed his dissatisfaction over the functioning of the officials said that the officials have failed to respond positively to the problems faced by the taluk.

Under the sanitation drive Rs 3,000 will be released by the Union government for the construction of toilets in the rural areas. But this due to lack of awareness the project has not been implemented properly, she alleged.

Zilla Panchayat member Chennappa, Taluk Panchayat vice-president Chalapati, Grama Panchayat president Rangamma, Vice-president Mohan Kumar, Mahaligaiah, Taluk JD(S) president Tungote Ramanna, leaders B S Srinivas, Honnapura Shivanna, Youth JD(S) President Lakshamma Veeranna Gowda, PWD Assistant Executive Engineer Ravishankar, Satyanarayana Kudoor, Agriculture Department Assistant director Krishnamurthy, Animal Husbandry Assistant Director Sanvjeevarayappa, Horticulture Department Assistant Director Subramanya and other officers were present on the occasion.

Legislator Anitha Kumaraswamy distributed benefits under the various schemes and also accepted grievances from the public.
Tahsildar R Naragaj Shetty and Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Shashikumar and others were present on the occasion.
