Alert staff of Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued three children who had runaway from Bandihole village in K R Pet taluk of Mandya district on Saturday last.

RPF ASI K Jagannath Reddy and Head Constable DRS Gowda saw the three children on Platform No 1 at 10.30 pm on October 31. The children were in the age group of 14 to 16 years and identified themselves as Darshan, Bharath and Nithin. They were brought to RPF office and produced before Sub-Inspectors M Nishad and R D Patil, who enquired and collected the address of their parents and contacted them over phone. The parents of those children came to RPF office on November 1 at 11 am. The children were handed over to the respective parents after counselling.
