Stree Shakti Bhavana opens in Gonikoppa
Gonikoppa:Nov 4, DHNS:

Stree Shakti organisations should strive for the development of the nation through self-reliance, said Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker K G Bopaiah.

Speaking after inaugurating the Stree Shakti Bhavana and market complex built by the Kodagu Zilla Panchayat in association with Women and Child Welfare Department and local gram panchayat at Ponnampete here on Monday, Bopaiah said that women should enter into the mainstream of the society through Stree Shakti organisations. The dreams of former Prime Minister Vajpayee regarding women empowerment was implemented in the State by the then Chief Minister S M Krishna, he emphasised. “It is laudable that Stree Shakti organisations also work towards the development of the nation through women empowerment,” he added.

Role of Stree Shakti organisations is important in making women self-reliant. Stree Shakti organisations guide women to be a successful person in the society, Bopaiah said.
Delivering the presidential address, Zilla Panchayat President V M Vijaya said that it is a notable development that women too achieve progress in male-centric society. Women should join hands to achieve more success in their life, he added.
Zilla Panchayat Vice-President Anitha Kanjithanda, Taluk Panchayat Vice-President Sada Appachu, Member Shaji Achuthan, Ramadas, Kaveramma Thimmaiah were present.
