Ben Kingsley for Goa film festival

Versatile English actor Ben Kingsley will be the guest of honour at the International Film Festival of India in Goa later this month.
Kingsley, better known to Indian film audiences for his academy award winning role as Gandhi in Richard Attenborough’s 1982 film, has accepted the invite to walk the red carpet at the November 23 opening, Goa chief secretary Sanjay Srivastava said.
Young Goan filmmaker Laxmikant Shetgaonkar who picked up the International Federation of Film Critics Prize at the Toronto film festival in September will get an appropriate release for his “Poltodcho Munis” (the Man beyond the Bridge) in India.
