Top-seed Nupur Umashanker booked her berth in under-12 and under-14 semifinals of the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament here on Wednesday.

Karnataka’s Nupur ousted State-mate Shivani Manjunath 6-3, 6-2 in the U-14 quarterfinal after thumping Rashika Rajan 6-0, 6-2 in the U-12 semifinal. In the boys’ U-14 category, top-seeded Alok Aradhya entered the final four when he got a bye from Karthik. BR Nikshep fought off a stiff challenge from S Lokesh Kumar to win 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 in his under-12 quarterfinal match.
