Advocates to boycott work on Nov 9
Bangalore,Nov 4,Deccan Herald News Service:

The Advocates Association of Bangalore has passed a resolution to stay away from work on November 9 to protest the continued participation of Karnataka Chief Justice P D Dinakaran in Court proceedings.

The association on Wednesday decided to boycott proceedings in all courts in the city and request other advocates associations throughout the state to abstain from court proceedings.

A general body meeting was called after Justice Dinakaran’s name was dropped from the list of those recommended for elevation to Supreme Court.

However, his name has been kept in abeyance by the Supreme Court collegium pending inquiry into allegations of land grabbing and corruption against the Cheif Justice of Karnataka High Court.
