Firemen rescue aged woman
Fire personnel rescued a septuagenarian from her apartment on Vittal Mallya Road after its rear door accidentally got locked on Wednesday evening.
Around 7 pm, the fire department got a distress call from 72-year-old Khosi. Immediately, the firemen rushed to the spot and rescued her.
The senior citizen had gone out to the open space of her flat no 402, III Floor, Embassy Corner to breathe fresh air when the door got locked. A shocked Khosi tried to alert the apartment manager and the staff. When no one responded, she dialled 101.
Bomb hoax
The HAL airport received a hoax bomb call on Wednesday evening. The police said, around 3 pm, the authorities received the call. Immediately, they alerted the jurisdictional police, who in turn pressed the dog and bomb squad into service. After a thorough search it was declared a hoax call.
