Sikh activists block rail tracks
Ludhiana, Nov 6 (PTI)

Protesting the Centre's alleged inaction against 1984 riots accused, more than 200 activists of various Sikh outfits on Friday blocked rail tracks on the Ludhiana-Delhi section.

Activists of Sikh outfits block rail tracks during an anti-government protest in Amritsar on November 3. File photo AFPA group of protestors led by Surjit Singh, President of a Sikh group, Danga Peerat Association, squatted on the rail tracks here and raised slogans against the government.

As a result, the New Delhi-bound Shatabdi Express scheduled to leave the city at 7 am was detained by the railway authorities at the station here itself.

The super fast train was later sent to the national capital via Dhuri, railway sources said.
Demanding justice to the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots and action against the guilty, Sikh groups have been holding protests in Punjab recently.

On November 3, radical Sikh groups had called for a Punjab bandh on the issue.

Do we have justice system? Give something or have "inphluence" and take judgment! With more than 33 million cases in different courts, the Law Minister, CJI and all justices doing dramas without delivering anything! They are all busy making money. Sikhs: you are doing the right thing! Just stop all things and let us see how long they will deny justice!

Congress enthusiasm to book Gujarat rioters the same is absent in sikh riots for the congress men in top posts have done this. Even if 100000 proofs they get no congressman will be booked that is the fate of Indian law, one thief if he is caught with just Rs.100 theft he will be beaten and thrown to jail, but the big criminals in India have afiled day. Lokayukta has red hand caught so many big shots but not even one is behind bar, but suppose a man steals aloaf of bread for 10 years he will be jailed. Disgusting and Disgraceful is our law which totures and terrorises the poor and weak and applauds rewards the big criminals
