With doting father E V V Satyarayana cranking the camera and movie mogul D Rama Naidu betting his moolah on him, Allari Naresh has fortunes riding on ‘Bendu Apparao’. Never in the league of ‘Seema Sastri’ or’ Blade Babji’, Naresh’s ‘Bendu Apparao’ does offer a heady comedy cocktail. Tickling your funnybones in the tailored title role as good Samaritan with eyes on fast buck, Naresh is an RMP (Registered Medical Practitioner) personified playing it to the hilt. No, he is never near Dutt’s Munnabhai or Kamal Hassan’s Vasool Raja / Shankardada.
Kamna Jethmalani and Meghana are pretty props to prod the puerile proceedings to a predictable end. Staid, sans logic, ‘Bendu Apparao’ is your average laugh riot to root for. Enjoy the madness of the man with the healing touch, it’s 100 per cent entertainment guaranteed as goes the tagline.
