The Union Rural Development Ministry has constituted vigilance and monitoring committees at district levels to oversee the development works.

Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily, who represents Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha constituency, has been appointed as chairman of the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee.
The first meeting of the committee is scheduled to be held on Nov 9 at 10.30 am. The minister will later review the progress of development works in Gauribidanur, Chikkaballapur and Bagepalli Assembly constituencies, DC Anwar Pasha has said in a release.
