Veerappa Moily seeks regular power supply
Chikkaballapur, Nov 7, DHNS:

Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily has urged the State Energy Department to ensure regular power supply to the district.

 
In a letter addressed to K Jairaj, the Principal Secretary of the Energy Department, Veerappa Moily has said that farmers in the district have grown horticultural and other crops like potato, grape, onion.

The farmers in the district are already reeling under distress. The threat of crop failure is looming large due to erratic power supply.

The farmers have staged several protests for the past one week demanding regular power supply in the district, the leter pointed out and  sought that remedial steps should be taken to before things go out of hand.
