Lalbagh fee optional
Bangalore, Nov 7, DHNS:

Lalbagh Horticulture Department Director N Jayaram made it clear on Saturday that the Rs 200 fee to use Lalbagh for walking was optional right now.

“Identity cards will also be issued free of cost to all the walkers who use Lalbagh premises for their walk. However, walkers who wish to pay for their ID card can pay the amount,” he said.

He added that no concrete decision has been taken as yet. A survey is being conducted to check on what walkers wish to do. “Once we collect the survey report, we will decide on the charges,” he said.

The honourary president of the Lalbagh Walkers' Association, Prof M R Doreswamy said he is opposed to the idea of an ID card. “An identity card may not serve the purpose of protecting Lalbagh. It only blocks the public from entering its premises. What if I forget to bring my ID card one day. Will I not be allowed inside,” he wondered.

Rule is for everybody if he is coming for lalbagh better he carries this and keep in mind. it is obvious and simple for everybody. I dont thinnk why anyone makes fuss on this.

silly. Indian Institute Of Science was loved by people of Mvm. Now it is out of bounds to common man. Lalbagh and Cubbonpark are public properties, which should be free visiting parks, Security should be provided.
