Wickets tumble but KSCA XI stay alive

Bangalore, July 30, 2013, DHNS:

KSCA XI were bundled out for a paltry 122 in 34.4 overs in their first innings against Rajasthan CA on the second day of their Safi Darashah match at Alur on Tuesday.

Only Amit Verma (43) and skipper CM Gautam (35) resisted Rajasthan’s charge as they lost wickets like nine pins. Vivek Yadav (4/15) and Rituraj (3/52) were the wreakers in chief.

But KSCA XI fought back to bowl out Rajasthan for 169 in 49.3 overs with KP Appanna was once again amongst the wickets, claiming 4/39 to go with his four in the first inings. He has 18 wickets in the last four innings he has bowled.

KSCA XI are 16/0, chasing 282 for victory.

Brief scores (At Alur 1): Rajasthan CA: 234 all out in 63.2 overs and 169 all out in 49.3 overs (Dishant Yagnik 32; KP Appanna 4-39, Gowtham 2-9) vs KSCA XI: 122 all out in 34.4 overs (Amit Verma 43, CM Gautam 35; Vivek Yadav 4-15, Rituraj Singh 3-52) and 16 for no loss in four overs.

At Aditya Global: Saurashtra CA: 266 all out in 96.3 overs vs Orissa CA: 273/3 in 98 overs (Girija Rout 132 batting, Biplab Samantray 116).

At Alur (2): KSCA Colts: 363 all out in 99.1 overs (Abhishek Reddy 133, KV Siddharth 40; Harshal Patel 3-83, Jayesh Yadav 2-61) vs Haryana CA: 351/3 in 88 overs (Sachin Rana 116 batting, Rahul Dalal 105 batting).

At Alur (3): CA of Bengal: 445/8 in 120 overs (Sudip Chatterjee 136, Sayan Sehkar Mondal 80, Veer Pratap Singh 61, Sourasish Lahiri 61; Sreejith KR 3-67, Sandeep Warrier 2-71) vs Kerala CA: 292/1 in 75 overs (Jagadeesh VA 146 batting, Nikhilesh 119).

At BGS (T): Goa CA: 289 all out in 100 overs (Swapnil Asnodkar 114 n.o., Rohit Asnodkar 63) and 7/0 in 2 overs vs Jharkhand CA: 254 all out in 89.3 overs (Saurabh Tiwary 61, Gautam SP 50; Amit Yadav 4-82, Buddhadev Mangaldas 2-36).

At SJCE: Assam CA: 314 all out in 103.4 overs vs KSCA Secretary’s XI: 267/6 in 88.1 overs (Karun Nair 101, Sadiq Kirmani 43; Krishna Das 2-51).

At Gangothri Glades (Mysore): Baroda CA: 257 all out in 97.5 overs (K Devdhad 64, S Wagasjar 44; Sneha Kishore 3-34, Ajay Kumar 3-53) and 6/0 in 3 overs vs Andhra CA: 211 all out in 85 overs (Basha 59, Ajay Kumar 38; Swapnil Singh 6-36, Sunit Singh 2-29).
