In a bid to make information related to the Metro just a click away, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a user-friendly smartphone mobile application that will help passengers.

With help of the new application, commuters will be able to search information about the nearest station, fares, information about timings of the first and last train, parking information, travel time, route information, the Metro map and several others.

Officials said the application can be downloaded on i-Phones and Android smartphones with facilities to download the latest version of the application.

“Using this application, Metro passengers will be able to access all sorts of information related to the train services of DMRC and related information on their own,” a DMRC official.

“Information like landmarks, tourist spots near Metro stations, address and contact number of ‘Lost and Found’ cell, details of feeder bus services available at stations with their routes will also be available through the application,” the official added.

Other information which could be accessed includes details about Metro Museum, DMRC helpline number for assistance, suggestion, complaint and feedback, security helpline number for emergency, security threat and other information. DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh launched the app on Thursday.

Officials said the key areas of Metro will be shown on the home screen of the smartphone application. Using the tabs available on the home screen, the user can navigate to the desired section, feature and get the required information.

The application can be downloaded directly from DMRC website, www.delhimetrorail.com.
