Mumbai band ‘Devoid’ will get on stage with a home-coming concert at ‘Wacken Open Air’ to be held on August 24, 8 pm at Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan. ‘Wacken’, the world’s biggest metal festival, is now firmly on the metal map of Bangalore in the shape of ‘Bangalore Open Air’, which has seen two exciting editions so far. ‘Devoid’ call themselves ‘Downright Thrash Metal’ and are ‘against the establishment’. The band received rave reviews for this album. Their new EP titled ‘The Invasion’ was nominated for six categories in the ‘Rolling Stone Metal Awards’ of which they won the ‘Best Drummer’ nomination. The opening act is by ‘The Downtroddence’.
An aesthetic symphony of odissi and bharatanatyam titled Kala Sangam will be staged at Nrithya Sabha Rasadhare, 10th Cross, Coconut Avenue, Malleswaram on August 25, 6.30 pm. On the occasion, Vidushi Manasi (odissi) and Vidwan Raghunandan S (bharatanatyam) would be presenting a unique duet collage of the two dance forms.
‘Art Bengaluru 2013’ will now be on till August 25 at The Collection, UB City. A unique feature that has been added to the festival is a ‘Sculpture Park’, showcasing 35 sculptures by established as well as up-and-coming artistes. One of the most
popular sculptures is a portrait of Bob Marley. Among the sculptures on display, there are also some international ones, which have been made in Spain and Italy.

Natasha Ramanujam has presented numerous concerts throughout North America, Chile, Argentina, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria with multiple ensemble including the ‘San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra’ and the ‘New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra’ in Boston.
