Speed up ITIR project: Patil

Information Technology and Bio-Technology minister, S R Patil conducted a review meeting of the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project on Wednesday .

Patil urged officials to speed up the project of acquiring land for the purpose of creating the ITIR region. It may be recalled that the KIADB in 2010 had already issued a preliminary notification for the acquisition of 2,072 acres of land in Devanahalli.

“The next step in the formation of the ITIR project is to decide on the acquisition of the land.

We are in the process of negotiating the form in which the land can be acquired,” he said and added that with regard to the financial burden, the IT department will not be troubled as the KIADB will take responsibility for developing the project. As many as 10,000 acres of land may be required for the development of ITIR.
