According to the police, Manoj Kumar, a common friend of Abhishek, second year PU student of Surana College and Kushal, a diploma student of a private college, had a job interview at a private firm and the three travelled to the company office on separate bikes.

While returning, Manoj Kumar, whose bike developed a snag on Chennasandra flyover on NICE Road, started pushing it towards a work station, while Abhishek and Kushal were following him on the bike. The speeding BMTC bus driver lost control and rammed the bike from behind killing Kushal.
