BU degree exam results likely tomorrow

Bangalore, Sept 8, 2013, DHNS: 2:18 IST
The much-delayed results of the degree examinations of Bangalore University are likely to be announced on Tuesday.

This time, students of some of the semesters have had to wait for long to get their examination results of the previous semester even as the university has begun the process of registration for the next semester exam commencing in November. The examinations of the previous semester was held in May-June this year.

BU registrar (evaluation) R K Somashekar told Deccan Herald on Sunday that the evaluators were at work and had assured to give the consolidated results by Monday. “We will hopefully announce the results on Tuesday itself,” he said.

The results that are pending are of the second and third semester B Com, second semester BA and third semester BBM.

The results for BBM were delayed due to a technical snag and it will be declared on September 17, he added. Last time, when the semester results were announced there were a few complaints about students being marked absent and hence this time, the university did not want to do it in a haste, Somashekar said.

The BU has majority of the answerscripts from BCom. There are 88,000 BCom students and about four lakh answerscripts that have to be evaluated.
