BJP to shortlist LS candidates

Bellary,  Sept 14, 2013, DHNS :

The BJP will soon set in motion the process for selecting its candidates for the general elections.

State BJP president Pralhad Joshi told reporters here on Saturday that in-charges will be appointed to Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka in a week. State and national level leaders will address the statewide party conventions to be organised after Sept 25.

Joshi was in Bellary to take part in a meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He claimed that Modi had gained popularity outside Gujarat and his anointment as prime ministerial candidate would boost the prospects of the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.

Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar said the party central leadership should take an early decision on inducting Yeddyurappa back into BJP or entering into a pact with his party.
