Software engineer ends life

A software engineer ended his life by hanging himself at his house in Someshwara Layout, Madiwala on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Jayaram, 26, who was employed leading in a  IT firm in the City. Jayaram, who was from Mangalore, had married recently. On Friday, his wife had left for her parent’s home in Mangalore.

According to police, Jayaram’s wife repeatedly called him on his mobile phone on Friday evening. Worried at the lack of response, she called up Jayaram’s friend and asked him to check

The friend visited the house on Friday night and saw Jayaram hanging from the ceiling fan in the hall. He immediately informed Jayaram’s wife and summoned the local police.

Madiwala police broke open the front door and retrieved the body.

According to police, Jayaram left behind a suicide letter saying no one was responsible for the suicide. However, the cause for his extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
Madiwala police have registered a case.
