Last Updated 23 September 2013, 17:42 IST

A good bowling performance from Frank Anthony Public School enabled them to complete a crushing 10-wicket victory over Holy Saint English School in the KSCA Cup U-16 Division I cricket tournament.

On the back of Mohd Azarudin’s 5/20, ably supported by Priyal Singh (4/17), Frank Anthony bowled out Holy Saint for a paltry 60. The Frank Anthony batsmen then posted 160 all out in 47.2 overs, thanks to Tejas’ 47 that helped them open a 100-run lead.

While Holy Saint improved marginally in the second innings -- they made 205 before being bowled out -- it was never going to be going to be enough as Sudhir (59 n.o.) and Manish (38 n.o.) raised the target of 106 in just 11.5 overs.

The victory ensured that Frank Anthony got five points, with Holy Saint returning with -1.
In the other matches, St Joseph’s High School and Delhi Public School (School) took home three points each as they gained the all important first innings lead against their opponents Triveni Memorial School and Presidency School, Nandini Layout respectively.

N Kumar’s 114 for St Joseph’s in their second innings was the only ton of the innings as batsmen from both the sides struggled to score against two disciplined attacks.
