It's whistles and whoops time all the way

S Viswanath, Sept 27, 2013, DHNS:

Atharintiki Daaredi
Telugu (U) ¬¬¬
Director: Trivikram Srinivas
Cast: Pawan Kalyan, Samantha, Pranitha, Boman Irani, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh, Harsha Nandini

Well, it’s Power Star in full flow. Given that Atharintiki Daaredi, rides on his pull power, Pawan Kalyan packs a punch and how. From witty, powerful one-liners that send audiences into a tizzy, to perfect comic timing evoking boisterous laughs, to high adrenaline action that evoke whistles. It’s complete package from the mass man. Pawan gives it all and fans gleefully lap it up zestfully. Director Trivikram Srinivas has shrewdly worked around a trite tale told a thousand times. He ensures his screenplay has right medley of fast paced derring-do action, ribtickling comedy, mushy romance and ensemble performances ensuring Atharintiki Daaredi brings back all big-budget investment in the movie.

With Pawan Kalyan filling every frame, and his fans turning one riotous cheery squad, savouring his trademark gestures and gimmicks, the film turns out a cacophonic entertainment cauldron with cinematography and music, adding extra allure to have audiences in a thrall. At the pith of Atharintiki Daaredi’s otherwise prosaic plot is how an estranged father seeks the help of his grandson to win back his daughter’s affection. Housed in Milan, Italy, and luxuriating in wealth, Raghu Nandan, is, however, desolate, pining for his daughter Sunanda in distant India. He commissions grandson Gautam Nanda with the task of bringing about rapprochement between his aunt and his grandfather. The handsome, hunky lad arrives to find aunt deep in debt running her star hotel and keen on handing over her two daughters – Prameela and Sasi – to Siddappa’s family in marriage.

Worming himself into the family’s confidence as driver Siddu, our beau sets about his task diligently even romancing the two dainty daughters and warding off pesky suitors. How he achieves the assignment for that happy family freeze frame forms the fulcrum of Atharintiki Daaredi.

Troop in and watch fans go delirious as Pawan Kalyan works his magic in the company of his lissome ladies and comic men. Enjoy.
