JOIN USSpin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan will feature in the RCB Corporate Cricket Championship as a special super substitute during the semifinals and final.
“I am looking forward to playing my role in this championship and challenge the Bangalore corporate players to test their batting skills. It should be good fun and also help the standard of corporate cricket championships,” said Muralitharan, who will be allowed to bowl one over in the match. Russell Adams, VP-Commercial Operations, RCB, said: “This innovation is a first of its kind in any corporate championship. It will offer an opportunity for weekend cricketers to face the legendary spin bowler.” The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups playing three 10-over games each in the league phase. The quarters, semis and the final will be held in the T20 format.The final will be held on November 24 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
