JOIN USAmittrajit Singh and co-driver Ashwin Naik sealed the overall title at the FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) when they emerged victorious in the IMG Karnataka here on Sunday.
Armed with a huge overnight lead, Ghosh concentrated on bringing his Group N-spec Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia to the finish and eventually finished first; one minute and 52 seconds clear of second placed Rahul Kanthraj (Vivek Bhatt). Prithvi Dominic (Pruthvi Sthal) finished in third place. “I didn’t really push today as I had a good overnight lead. There were no problems with my car. Obviously, I and Ashwin are happy to win the overall title for the second year running,” said Ghosh. Newly-crowned Asia Pacific Rally champion Gaurav Gill (Musa Sherif) driving a XUV 500 in the SUV class also clinched the title in his category besides being the fastest driver in the K-1000 Rally for which he received a Star of Karnataka award.
